How to make Chicken with Turmeric

Turmeric is the perfect addition for preparing and flavouring delicious dishes. Here we have added it to chicken because it just goes so well with this type of meat!

Follow our instructions here and you will always have a fantastic dish to impress your friends with at dinner!

Ingredients for 3 people:

  • 3 chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of turmeric
  • 1 shallot
  • Olive oil
  • 150 ml of milk
  • 3 teaspoons of mustard
  • 1 cup of white wine

To prepare chicken with turmeric, start by properly flouring the chicken thighs. Then prepare a "dust mix" by putting 3 tablespoons of flour and 3 tablespoons of turmeric together in a plastic food bag. Place the chicken thighs into the bag and shake it all until the chicken is completely covered.

Once you have finished this, pour in two tablespoons of oil into the pan together with the shallot.

When the sauce is ready, add the floured chicken and let it cook for a few minutes, making sure to cook both sides.

Pour in all of the white wine.

In a separate bowl, start to mix the milk with the remaining turmeric. Once it is all mixed, pour the mixture over the chicken as soon as the wine has begun to evaporate.

Let it cook for about 30-40 minutes. Before removing everything from the fire, add the mustard to flavour. Let cook until the chicken is fully done.

Pilaf rice can be added to make an excellent side dish.

This is a quick and easy recipe to prepare, perfect for dinner with family and friends. It goes perfectly with a side of pilaf rice, or with a side dish of grilled mixed vegetables.
